Best of 2011: Punk Kids

One of the most important discoveries I made in 2011 is that I, in fact, can't do everything. I'm sure I always knew this, logically, but as life becomes busier and busier, it's being demonstrated more and more often. Some of these things, we're used to, i.e. I can't keep my house clean. Others have been more of a surprise, such as not writing blog posts and thank-you cards. I've always been so good at both of those things, but this year, I've come up short. So I've missed journaling some fun parts of the year, such as the annual visit to the pumpkin patch.
4 kids in the patch and 3/4 of them looking at the camera = success!
Maya age 8
Mason, 5 1/2
Simon, "almost" 3
Lucy - 1 1/2
We were quite the disastrous bunch at the pumpkin patch. Simon latched onto a wheel-barrow that he was convinced belonged only to him and was heart-broken when that didn't seem to be the case.
Lucy made more than one break toward the busy street and Chris & I had to do some sprinting. Maya "juggled" pumpkins we had no intention of buying. Mason, I believe, behaved himself. There's always one. Thank goodness for that!
