With 4 kids 7 and under at our dinner table, I'm sure you can imagine that dinner is not always a calm and pleasant endeavor. And by "not always" I mean "almost never", of course. :) So I loved these 10 Rules of Dinner. We went over this last week during our family night, and I posted a printed copy next to the table. They're definitely worth a look, and possibly a review...you know, if your dinner time is anything like our dinner time!
My favorite rule?
Chris is partial to this one.
One week in and it's helping. Of course, we don't expect perfection, but it's nice to see the big kids at least taking it to heart and making an effort.
Putting kid-friendly options on the table helps. Tonight I'm doing a big pot of chicken noodle soup and homemade bread and later in the week I'm trying a new recipe with beef and broccoli over rice. The weekend is reserved for pizza night and breakfast for dinner, always popular kid-options!
What are you cooking this week?
